New Items to work on

I have a lot of time in the evening before I retire for the night. Television does not entertain me as much as quilting.  So I decided that since we are driving a lot on long trips, I needed a hand sewing project to occupy me on these trips and at night.

The solution was a hexagon project.  I really have been wanting to make a small hexagon project by hand for a long time.  So last year, I started.

I had only made a hexagon baby quilt with the large hexagons that I sell in my quilt kit.  Those hexagons are easy to sew by machine, so that's how I put it together.

I experimented with English paper piecing and wrote an article about it for my customers.  I didn't like the technique very much.

I have experimented with several ways to put this hexagon project together and I will go over them here in the next few days.

I will also add pictures here.  Hope you enjoy the articles about the hexagon project.
