INFORMATION REGARDING THE APPLE CORE PKG.
Because of its odd shape, it's difficult to say what size quilt the
100 piece pkg. would make.
The following is only an approximation given the variables of sewing machines
sewing allowances and the odd shape of the piece.
The piece measures 6 3/4 long x 3 5/8 wide (See picture for measurements).
100 pieces squared off would mean 10 pieces across and 10 pieces down.
What I have figured out is the approximate size of 40 to 50 inches square.
I may be off a few inches. Because of the curvature in the piece in four different places, it is hard to get an
accurate measurement without being a mathamatician, which I am not, unfortunately.
If I were working with this piece, I would go with the median of the two
of 45 inches squared and go from there.
I have not worked with this piece at all and my quilt program that I use
to design quilts does not work with it in the manner needed.
To be safe, my suggestion would be to purchase 1 package, sew it together.
After you see how big it is, then order more if you need to make it bigger. For a baby quilt with these approximate
calculations, 1 pkg should be enough. Of course, you have to consider that you will be squaring off the outside
edges in order to add a border and binding.
If you want a larger quilt than crib size; you will need more than
1 pkg. I hope that helps everyone figure what they need.
